Open Stall Available:

One stall open in Colchester Co-operative Barn (Big Foot Ranch).

We have a total of six stalls at Big Foot Ranch, which is located of off Exit 17 on the Milton Colchester boarder. Chores are done twice a day by the horse owners or lessees of the horses. Every horse owner does about 4 chores per week and helps with occasional fix up. You buy your own feed (hay can be purchased through us) and take care of all of your horse’s needs such as farrier, veterinary, exercise, blanketing etc. Every horse owner will be expected to pay a proportionate share of the expenses for utilities which will not exceed $50 per month in 2008 but may be raised for 2009 if necessary. The stalls are walk-ins and have direct access to a paddock at night and an adjacent pasture during the day. We have a dressage size outdoor arena and beautiful trails in a 40 acre wood behind the barn.

This is the perfect setting for an experienced horse person who wants to enjoy a quiet, beautiful barn without competition and crowds. We are a group of 6 women between 20 and 55 years old who love to treat this barn and all the horses as our own. We provide excellent care for each others horses and are looking for a reliable, responsible, happy person with a horse (preferably gelding) that has good barn manners and is used to group turnout.
